We are always on the lookout for talented individuals and offer a range of opportunities for you to gain an insight into the industry throughout all stages of your education.

Industrial Placements

For individuals studying a sandwich degree on a construction related course, we offer you the opportunity to join us for your 12 month placement year.

You will be given the same responsibilities and will work on the same types of projects as our graduates. You will also join our Year 1 cohort of the Chartership Programme and will become a student member of the RICS.

We hope that you will develop key interpersonal skills around communication, planning and organisation as well as relishing in the opportunity to apply your learned theoretical knowledge.

We will keep in touch with you throughout your final year of university and we hope to be able to offer you full-time employment as a graduate once you have completed your studies. When you re-join us we will support you to sit the APC with the current Chartership Programme cohort in the shortest possible time frame.

Summer Placements

Summer placements are a great opportunity for those considering a career in construction to get some experience and an all-round appreciation for the industry and profession. Summer placements typically last for a period of two to three months. Our placements offer you the chance to get involved with a team of qualified surveyors or project managers, sharing in their work and projects and gaining real life experience of working life at G&T.

Work Experience

For those individuals who are looking to gain first-hand knowledge of what the construction industry is like, we offer year round work experience placements. Our placements usually last between one to two weeks and offers individuals the opportunity to spend some time outside of the classroom and gain an insight into the profession.

During your placement you will have the chance to develop your communication and team work skills, as well as an opportunity to build your confidence and gain a broader idea of how you might like to start your future career.
