G&T at LREF 2017

G&T Sponsored the NextGen initiative at LREF.

As part of G&T's continuing commitment to the next generation of property and construction professionals we once again sponsored the London Real Estate Forum's NextGen initiative.

LREF is a key event in the commercial real estate calendar and allows professionals, from developers to consultants, to come together and discuss plans for building in London. The NextGen reception allows the younger generation access to the conference and exhibition as well as encouraging them to meet and develop their professional relationships at one of the most prestigious events of the year.

"G&T is committed to developing and nurturing young professionals. The London Real Estate Forum NextGen reception is a great example of this."

G&T Partner, Adam Glover

This year Peter Murray, Chairman of New London Architecture (NLA), opened the reception speeches welcoming guests and discussing a few key recent industry challenges, handing over to G&T Partner, Adam Glover, who looked to the future. Adam spoke about the importance of encouraging the next generation of property and construction professionals to take part in events such as LREF and expand their knowledge and understanding of the industry as well as build their networks. He went on to introduce guest speaker and rising star, Savannah de Savary, CEO and Founder of Built-ID - a proptech start-up collaboration platform for the built environment, of which G&T is a collaborator and supporter. Find out more on their website

Savannah told the audience a bit about her story and the challenges she overcame to launch her platform, with a view to change attitudes towards proptech and distrust of technology and collaboration in property.

As an extension of the main programme G&T co-hosted a NextGen roundtable at Mr Fogg's Residence in association with LREF and New London Architecture. Rising stars from across the industry, including three G&T NextGen, came together to debate industry trends and perceptions, the people and diversity and integrity and disruption.
