Ayr Grammar Campus
In 2017 staff and pupils of Ayr Academy relocated to a modern new campus, leaving the 200 year old former school building vacant. The Category B Listed building has since been repurposed to create the Ayr Grammar Campus, a multi-use facility that services young people, adult learners and the wider community.
The former Ayr Academy building has been partly demolished, refurbished and extended to create a new educational campus with archive. This includes a bright new entrance connecting the primary school, early years and community facilities. The new archive contains a fine art store and registration space which greatly enhances public access to the town's records.
Ayr Grammar marks another successful campus project for Hub South West Scotland and follows the completion of Ayr Academy, Marr College and Queen Margaret Academy, each of which was delivered by G&T.
