Hard FM and Minor Works Procurement
G&T was appointed by The Royal Parks to lead on and identify the most appropriate route to market for the re-procurement of its Hard FM and Minor Works contract and support the transition to the new contract.
The approved procurement strategy was to run a ‘restricted’ procurement procedure under the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The team developed a compliant procurement process and project programme to align to the challenging timeline linked to the current contract expiry.
Our involvement included soft market engagement, preparation of all technical and commercial tender documentation as well as working with the client’s legal team in tailoring the NEC4 FM contract. G&T then supported the transition to the new contract.
The new contract is to provide The Royal Parks with:
- A new partner aligned to strategic and operational objectives
- Best in class FM and minor works contract tailored to The Royal Parks' unique requirements
- A new Hard FM contract procured and mobilised in time to meet The Royal Parks' timeline for having a new contract in place
- Costs within budget despite inflationary pressures
- A validation of assets
- A step-change in approach to strategic asset management across The Royal Parks in relation to hard FM
