Luxury Automotive Manufacturing Plant
This expansion of an existing automotive manufacturing plant in the home counties comprises a new building and the parallel refurbishment and repurposing of existing facilities.
The new 60,000m² building will accommodate new paint shop, specialist process areas and assembly line. Design proposals also include extensive landscape development including green roof to reduce the visual impact for neighbouring stakeholders.
The new facility will achieve a 30% increase in production output, but represents only the initial stage of a multi-phased plan.
Our team has developed the change process to support the client in understanding the impact of design changes on budget and programme. We also supported the stakeholder engagement process as part of the planning application - liaising with landowners, local authority and the local community.
In addition, we have led value engineering initiatives to reduce costs by £100m. Cost savings have been achieved through intensive workshops with architects, engineers and landscape architects as well as stakeholders.
