School of Business and Management

The School of Business and Management will deliver approximately 6,400m² GIA and will house a mix of social learning, teaching and study spaces in addition to the administrative and back-of-house facilities.  High spec IT facilities will support the provision of blended learning and academic offices will make way for hot desking space and new ways of working.

The proposed site serves as the public gateway to the campus and faces the Regents Canal conservation area.  It is a tight and challenging location, but G&T has collaborated closely with the Local Authority and University to develop a work plan.  This plan ensures key infrastructure for the Mile End Campus can be relocated while maintaining campus access and keeping staff, students and the public separate from construction activities.

The building's design is shaped by its proximity to the Central Line, requiring ongoing asset protection agreements with London Underground Limited.  It is also bordered by the Mile End Road cycle superhighway, a red route and the Regents Canal towpath.
