University of Roehampton - Chadwick Hall
The project involved the construction of three buildings to form Chadwick Hall, a new addition to the University of Roehampton’s student accommodation.
Chadwick Hall is situated in the grounds of the Grade II* Listed Downshire House, alongside the historic sunken garden. With an internal area of 6,365m², it provides 210 en-suite bathrooms across the three student residences.
G&T worked with architect Henley Halebrown on the scheme to create a welcoming hub for students which responded to both the Georgian architecture of Downshire House and the Modernist style of a block of flats to the northwest boundary of the site.
The project was shortlisted for the 2018 RIBA Stirling Prize.
