World Of Wedgewood

World of Wedgwood

The WWRD project involved the redevelopment of the 1930s Wedgwood, Waterford and Royal Doulton production facilities and headquarters on a 281 acre estate in Stoke.

The redevelopment included an extension to the museum and visitor attraction "The World of Wedgwood" together with a restaurant, vintage style tea room, new corporate headquarters and a state of the art refurbished factory.

The museum tells the story of the Wedgwood brand and displays many important items from the company's history, while the remodelled factory tour takes visitors behind the production line.

The successful planning application for this redevelopment followed extensive consultation with the West Midlands Regional Growth Fund, Local Planning Authority, British Waterways, Staffordshire County Council and English Nature.

Winner - 'Tourism and Leisure Project of the Year', 2018 RICS Midlands Awards.
