BPF's President's Lunch
By Helen Thorpe
G&T hosted a table at The British Property Federation (BPF’s) President’s Lunch - an annual event aimed at bringing together up and coming property and construction professionals for an afternoon of networking, good food and a few glasses of wine.
BPF is membership organisation and serves effectively as a voice for the UK property industry that represents members and provides a forum for our industry to thrive and grow. Therefore it was a fantastic opportunity for G&T to invite some of our current clients to not only network, but to showcase recent industry successes.

This year the BPF lunch was held at the Honourable Artillery Company, which proved to be unlike any other City venue due to its five acre garden set against a Georgian house backdrop in a location just a few minutes from Moorgate. This was perfect for some pre-dinner networking in the British sun, before the G&T hosts and guests were seated for lunch. The set up for the lunch was unique with long tables to encourage a more sociable and integrated atmosphere (moving away from the formality of the traditional round table set-up) and we were served a delicious 3-course meal whilst meeting a horde of other like-minded individuals from across the sector.
The event also played host to the BPF's Tomorrow’s Leaders Awards, in partnership with the Estates Gazettes. This celebrated some of the industry's rising stars and their achievements within the last year. It was interesting to hear their stories and learn from their experiences. I was particularly proud to see a large number of the awards being won by women! It was great to be a part of an event that was officially supported by RICS Recruit networking group Freehold which is the support and networking group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender real estate professionals. This created the true sense of inclusivity, collaboration and engagement throughout the event.

The lunch was rounded off by some post-dinner beverages to make the most of the venue before treating our guests to the sights and sounds of Moorgate.
Roll on next year’s event and potentially some G&T nominees for Tomorrow’s Leader Awards!
