CIC Speed Mentoring 2017
As part of G&T's ongoing commitment to the next generation and our continuing relationship with the Construction Industry Council (CIC), G&T hosted a speed mentoring event alongside the CIC's 2050 Group and Berkeley Homes.
Speed mentoring is an important facilitator for inter-generational knowledge sharing. 18 mentors and 18 mentees, from architects to developers, took part in the event and shared their experiences from across the industry.
At G&T we take pride in supporting the next generation of property and construction professionals. Through our partnership structure and 180 year heritage the ability to share industry experiences and knowledge across several generations is invaluable.
"I’m generally a chatty person so throughout my career I always sought guidance and feedback from those around me."G&T Partner, Theo Constantinides
G&T's Theo Constantinides took part in the event as a mentor and commented:
"I’m generally a chatty person so throughout my career I always sought guidance and feedback from those around me, but always in a very informal process on my own initiative. Looking back that’s probably helped me a lot along the way so I can really see the benefits of setting up a mentoring system and encouraging everyone to take part."
"I found the mentoring part of the event most beneficial, as I got to share my experience and get personal feedback to help me grow in my career."G&T Apprentice, Thomas Bradford
G&T Apprentice, Thomas Bradford, took part in the speed mentoring as a mentee, saying:
"I found the event very effective, as I got advice from industry professionals about their road to success. I found the mentoring part of the event most beneficial as I got to share my experience and get personal feedback to help grow in my career. The main thing I took from the event was to always be committed to your end goal."
