Milestone Reached in the Bahamas
The first phase of the largest resort development in the western hemisphere, the $4bn Baha Mar resort in New Providence, Bahamas, opened on 21 April 2017.
This first phase includes the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the largest convention center in the Caribbean, the largest casino gaming floor in the Caribbean and the first phase of the 2,300 hotel rooms which are operated by Grand Hyatt.
The new owners, Chow Tai Fook, retained G&T to not only lead the due diligence of their purchase but also to provide Project Management and Cost Consulting services for the completion phases of the project together with the master planning phase for the future development opportunities that are part of the project’s 1,000 acre site. Future phases include the opening of the SLS hotel in Q3 2017 and the Rosewood Hotel in early 2018.
