Qatari Diar has broken ground at 30 Grosvenor Square, with exciting plans for a mixed-use transformation for one of Mayfair’s most iconic buildings.

Previously home to the US Embassy prior to their move to Nine Elms, the new hotel will be designed by Sir David Chipperfield, retaining the unique external façade whilst integrating a new hotel, retail, spa and event space. The proposal includes 137 guest rooms, five restaurants, six flagship retail units, a spa and a 1,000 person ballroom. The plans also include significant public realm improvements.

“Gardiner & Theobald is delighted to be part of the team responsible for the successful delivery of one of the most iconic and prestigious projects in London”

Andrew Browne, G&T Partner
