CityLabs 4.0 gets green light

The next phase of the Citylabs campus expansion, Citylabs 4.0, has been given the green light cementing the campus as an international hub for genomics, digital health and precision medicine.

G&T is providing Cost Management and Employer’s Agent services alongside Arup, Hilson Moran and planning consultancy Deloitte.

Located within the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) campus and adjacent to Citylabs 2.0, Citylabs 4.0 will provide 125,000 sq ft over seven floors comprising office and lab space with meeting space on the ground floor.

Designed by Sheppard Robson, the £35m project is a collaboration with Manchester Science Partnerships (MSP) and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) on behalf of Bruntwood SciTech.

Tom Renn, managing director of MSP and Bruntwood SciTech said, “We are extremely pleased that Citylabs 4.0 has had its planning consent approved, and look forward to continuing the creation of world-leading health innovation at the campus.”
