Work starts at Island Quarter, Nottingham
Work is now starting on site to clear the area for this exciting mixed-use development by Conygar, which forms part of the regeneration of Nottingham’s south side.
G&T is providing Cost Management services on the scheme, which received planning in 2019, alongside Leslie Jones (Masterplanning architect) and Jestico+Whiles (Detail design architect).
The 40-acre former Boots Island site, which has been derelict for around 25 years, will be transformed to provide a destination for leisure, work and home. The scheme will include 907 houses and flats, 634,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, a 194-bedroom lifestyle hotel, 11,000 sq ft of retail space, 666 student bedrooms, a linear park and community space. The existing warehouse will also be repurposed as creative and trade space.
"We believe this is a unique development which will help to elevate Nottingham’s position, not just in the Midlands, but also the UK"Robert Ware
