Our NextGen partners, the City Property Association (CPA) is launching a European Talent Task Force. NextGen champion and Leeds associate Tom Hope is representing G&T on the task force which, together with the IE School of Architecture and Design (IE), will work to promote the exchange of diverse and international talent across borders.
As we emerge from the pandemic the CPA NextGen is joining forces with the IE to encourage more sector collaboration. Experienced NextGen professionals from across Europe will form the task force, exploring the role of educational institutions in preparing the next generation of leaders and discussing new ideas surrounding the creation and maintenance of pan-European opportunities.
Associate Tom Hope is representing G&T’s NextGen sharing his insights and providing a platform for others to have their say. With seven years’ experience in the commercial and residential markets, Tom has a wealth of knowledge to help grow the task force’s activities and networks.
“I am extremely proud and excited to represent G&T and be a part of the new European task force, promoting the exchange of diverse and international talent across Europe whilst engaging with other industry professionals in the built environment.”Tom Hope
G&T Associate
Launched last week at a CPA webinar, members were given the chance to hear the group’s key priorities and ambitions for 2021. The expert panel addressed key questions such as how can we ensure that diverse and international talent remains attracted to working in the City now Britain has left the EU and has the pandemic and the shift to remote working created any opportunities for attracting a wide talent pool to London? The session also provided NextGen members with tailored advice to develop their skill set through gaining and exchanging knowledge across borders.
“All decisions are important but there is always an alternative. That’s something I’ve learned from architecture. There is never one right design, one right project, one right solution there are many. Jump in, take that opportunity and if it doesn’t work out shift gears and try something new.”Martha Thorne
Dean of the IE School of Architecture and Design
The IE’s NextGen programme is an international forum giving young professionals from the world of real estate and the built-environment the opportunity to make their voices heard, increase their knowledge of the city of tomorrow and grow their professional network.
G&T became champions of the CPA NextGen programme back in 2019 building the initiative from a series of networking events to an exciting programme of thought leadership activities, webinars, blogs and policy engagement which is now growing across the continent.
