G&T recently took to the water at Oakley Court in Windsor for the annual Grosvenor Dragon Boat Regatta, competing against peers in the property and construction industry in support of Grosvenor’s chosen charity partner, Groundwork, for this year.

The event saw the team participating in three initial heats, with G&T’s boat (‘Holy Ship’) progressing through to the next round in first place, having recorded the fastest timed race.  After a close-run battle in the semi-final (including one of the crew snapping an oar and paddling with his hands!) against four other boats, the team made it through to the finals - subsequently winning by a huge 1.09 seconds!

"It was an exceptional team effort and we look forward to returning to the event in 2023 as defending champions!"

G&T team captain Rob Mumford said: "Following a two year absence due to the pandemic, it was great to be back supporting Grosvenor and its charity partner at the 19th Annual Dragon Boat Regatta. It was an exceptional team effort from the whole G&T crew and we look forward to returning to the event in 2023 as defending champions!"

This year’s event was in support of Groundwork, a charity which mobilises practical community action on poverty and the environment across the UK, in particular enabling jobs in the green economy. A total of £50,000 was raised as part of this event.
