Victoria Place Woking Officially Opens

Woking's much anticipated new retail, residential and leisure destination, Victoria Place Woking, has officially opened its doors.

The opening was celebrated with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by the Mayor of Woking, Cllr Liam Lyons and the Leader of Woking Borough Council, Cllr Ayesha Azad.  The ceremony marked both the official opening of the destination and anchor store, Marks & Spencer.

G&T is providing Project Management and Principal Designer & CDM Consultancy services on the development which, alongside the new 125,000 sq ft retail space, also features 429 Build to Rent apartments across two 30 and 34 storey towers, a new four-star 189-bed Hilton hotel (G&T provided Cost Management services), two public plazas as well as new parking facilities over 11 levels including 78 EV charge points.

Incorporated into the design of the new car park is a living wall featuring 475,000 individual plants that will help improve air quality by trapping pollutants.
