Volunteering at Ninewells Hospital
Volunteers from G&T and Balfour Beatty swapped the office for the courtyard on Friday 6th May to freshen up the outdoor space at Ninewells Hospital’s Children's Theatre suite.
The focus for the day was on painting, raking and cleaning the pavilion and courtyard areas to encourage children and parents to enjoy the fresh air outdoors. The addition of a children's play hut, donated by Balfour Beatty, further enhanced the facilities - in time for the warmer weather arriving.
Our cost advisors have delivered a comprehensive programme of essential works at NHS Tayside’s Ninewells Hospital including the Children’s Theatre Suite and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit projects, undertaken while the hospital remained operational. The Children's Theatre Suite required the closure of six adult theatres for a six week period to deliver essential refurbishment works, with two new theatres created to enhance paediatric care provisions.

G&T’s Linda MacLennan and Heather Wellwood joined the Balfour Beatty team to help rake stones, paint the nursery building and support with the general tidy up.
