G&T supports CRASH in children’s hospice upgrade
The construction industry charity, CRASH, recently helped West Yorkshire's Forget Me Not Children's Hospice to increase its capacity by creating a new fifth children's en-suite bedroom and upgrading an existing family room. A G&T cost manager also donated their time and expertise to cost this project.
"We're incredibly grateful to CRASH for their support in this project and to all the fundraisers whose contributions have made grants like this possible."Gareth Pierce
CEO at Forget Me Not Children's Hospice
Forget Me Not Children's Hospice supports children with life-shortening conditions, their families, and families who are living with the loss of their child across West Yorkshire.
Gareth Pierce, CEO at Forget Me Not Children's Hospice said:
"We are delighted with the addition of a new bedroom - the first one since Russell House was built over 10 years ago. This expansion allows us to extend our respite and clinical care services to children, both those on our charitable caseload and those with highly complex needs through funded placements. Providing a home away from home for children in need of respite care is incredibly important to families who often find themselves exhausted by providing round-the-clock care to their child."
G&T first started supporting CRASH in 2019 and became an official Patron in 2020 and we are proud to continue our partnership with the charity that unites the construction industry, utilising the expertise and resources of the sector to build and improve facilities that support homeless people and those in hospice care. Our support is rooted in our Business with Purpose philosophy, meaning that we believe in supporting the communities we work in and making a positive social impact.
