The university has appointed G&T to provide client-side Project Management services, alongside Stride Treglown (design lead), Turley (planning), Farrer Huxley (masterplan and landscape strategy), Enborne Project Consultancy (project management), Fanshawe (quantity surveying), Hoare Lea (building services and sustainability) and Curtins (transport).

The university’s vision for the project is to restore and revitalise the Grade II Listed Devonport House, repairing and reinstating the key Listed features of the original building. The project will also enhance the area around the campus to improve access to and through the site, create indoor and outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy, and deliver substantial economic and social benefits to the Greenwich community.

The project is part of the university’s estate modernisation and renewal programme, which aims to provide modern, state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities that respect the heritage, character and locations of campus surroundings.

Professor Jane Harrington, Vice Chancellor of the University of Greenwich commented: “We are pleased to be progressing with this project that will greatly enhance the experience of our students. We look forward to continuing to work with partners to deliver the best space that benefits our staff students and partners as well as the wider Greenwich community.”
