The development is due for completion by 2028 and will provide space for social sciences and STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). G&T is providing Cost Management services for the project.

The new facilities will aid in the university’s mission of addressing global challenges through enhanced interdisciplinary collaboration as well as securing its reputation as a global player in STEM education and research.

“Through the STEM Connect Programme, we will firmly maintain The University of Warwick’s position as a global powerhouse for STEM, that will pave the way for groundbreaking research and education programmes,”

Professor Mark Williams, academic director of STEM Connect, University of Warwick

The investment also contributes to sustainability goals including Passivhaus certification and low embodied carbon, with the development featuring several new low-carbon buildings, an energy centre and a new green space.

The first phase of the project will provide 260,000 sq ft of space for research, education, study and work for the science, engineering and medicine departments. The university predicts that 1,500 construction-related jobs will be created over the lifetime of the project.
