The new linked buildings will provide 245,000 sq ft of office space with reception, basement parking, shower and cycle facilities together with high quality public realm.
With sustainability at the heart of the design, the building is looking to set a new benchmark in the region by delivering the most energy efficient office building in Leeds by reducing its reliance on fossil fuels and minimising energy consumption. The building is targeting BREEAM 'Outstanding' and EPC A and, as part of the Nabers UK Design for Performance Scheme, it will be the first Pioneer Project in Yorkshire.
This is the eighth building to be delivered by MEPC since 2013 at Wellington Place and the tenth building to be built on the site since 2001.
