Govan Graving Docks

A new mixed-use community with 304 new homes is being developed on an important heritage site in Govan, which was once at the heart of Glasgow's ship building industry.
New two-linear residential buildings and a landmark building will follow the geometry of the docks, whilst maintaining views through the building to the public open space beyond.
A new active travel route along the basin edge will create pedestrian and cycle routes, providing access to the river and connecting the new public square with commercial units.
The overall vision is sensitive to the site's historic and environmental conditions and has involved considerable stakeholder engagement over a number of years.
