Crucible Developments' Greenmarket project in Dundee will contribute to the £1bn regeneration of the city's waterfront by bringing back into use a former brownfield site at West Marketgait.
Consideration has been taken to provide a contemporary mixed-use development within the existing urban space with office, residential and retail accommodation across two new buildings.
The first 75,000 sq ft building provides high quality, flexible office space and has been pre-let to BT. Around 1,000 employees will relocate to the future-fit contact centre to meet the telecommunication firm's 'Better Workplace Programme'. The building will provide employee and visitor bicycle parking, 20 car parking spaces and external breakout areas at ground and first floors.
A second 16-apartment residential building, with two further commercial units will promote active travel through the allocation of 100% residential bicycle parking.
Due for completion in 2023, Greenmarket is G&T's seventh project for Crucible Developments. Recent commissions include a new Travelodge hotel at Edinburgh Park and bespoke Premier Inn and M&S Simply Food project at Largo Road, St Andrews.
