Port of Leith Distillery aims to bring whisky production back into the heart of Leith with the first vertical distillery to operate in Scotland for over 100 years.
The new eight storey distillery situated next to the Royal Yacht Britannia will offer a full visitor experience, with tasting area as well as a shop, office, restaurant and bar. Distillery-related storage and servicing will also provide a key function on this small site.
Construction works commenced at the end of 2019, and when the distillery opens in 2021 it aims to produce 400,000lpa (litres pure alcohol) per year.
G&T was also appointed to provide key support in helping the client navigate through the challenges of procurement and delivery.
