JLL Triathlon 2017
G&T entered four teams in the JLL Property Triathlon.
The JLL Property Triathlon is an established event in the property sporting calendar, now it its 11th year.
G&T entered four teams to compete in the triathlon challenge that raised £191,000 for Crisis - a national charity tackling homelessness, working directly with thousands of homeless people every year. This helped to increase the overall amount raised by the event to date to over £1.8m.
Conditions on the day were favourable and all the G&T competitors put in solid performance, leaving each of them gasping for breath at the end of their legs. The teams thought it was a great event with some serious competition and everyone who took part pushed themselves to the limit.
A special mention has to go to G&T's Geordie Prasser who was the 24th quickest of the 1423 runners on the day. This put his team into 13th position in the male relay category and 31 seconds off a top 10 finish which was the target for this year’s event. It looks as though the team will have to try again next time!
Mentions also go out to Steve Thomas and Luke Hepworth, who completed the swim without wet suits, much to the amusement of the officials who thought they were in the fancy dress division.
Let the training begin for next year!
