NLA NextGen Speed Mentoring 2018
This month saw 60 built environment professionals from across the industry come together at G&T’s London HQ for the NLA NextGen Speed Mentoring 2018.
As Programme Champion of New London Architecture’s (NLA) NextGen programme, G&T welcomed mentors and mentees for an evening of knowledge sharing, inspiration and discussion, giving all involved the opportunity to share insights and experiences from their career journeys.
Speed mentoring is an invaluable way for the younger generation to have one-to-one conversations with senior industry figures. Throughout the evening each mentee spent 15 minutes with a variety of experienced industry experts, discussing challenges within the construction industry and receiving valuable career advice.
“I get a lot from these mentoring sessions, as it shines a light on what is driving these young people and how we need to shape ourselves to be able to attract and retain talent.”Mary Rose Griffiths, G&T Partner
Mentors included James Pellatt from Great Portland Estates, Samantha Wait from Swan Housing and G&T partners Adam Glover – who gave the opening welcome and spoke about his experiences as a young professional – Kevin Arnold, Mary Rose Griffiths and Chris Welch.
“G&T is proud to be the programme sponsor of the NLA NextGen programme and support the development of the next generation across the wider industry.”Adam Glover, G&T Partner and NextGen Champion
The NLA Next Gen programme is an initiative which supports and identifies young talent within the industry, opening up opportunities to meet a variety of built environment professionals from a multitude of sectors. G&T has been the Programme Champion for over three years, helping to develop the next generation of industry leaders.
