LREF Schools Conference 2019
As part of the London Real Estate Forum (LREF) 2019, New London Architecture (NLA) hosted a schools conference, giving school students an exclusive preview of the LREF exhibition.
60 students from local schools attended the event and took part in a full morning of activities, hearing career talks from industry professionals and learning about the future growth of London.
As part of the morning G&T hosted a speed networking activity with mentors from the NextGen programme. Students were given the chance to network with volunteers from different sectors of the built environment, discussing their current job roles, routes into the industry, pathways through education and the companies they work for.
Following the speed networking students were taken on guided tours around the LREF exhibition and discovered exciting changes across the capital around the City of London model with the NLA learning team.
The NLA Learning Programme offers a wide range of activities for schools and students who want to find out more about the property and construction industry. G&T has supported the NLA Learning Programme for the last three years, developing relationships with local schools and introducing students to the different job roles available in the built environment.
G&T has a long history of engaging and supporting the new generation of property and construction professionals. Through our Change the Skyline initiative and our sponsorship of the Adopt a School programme we encourage students to learn about the opportunities in the industry and the different career paths available.
